The Kentucky Adoption Services, Inc. Mission Statement

Kentucky Adoption Services, Inc. is a Christian adoption agency that believes in the innate worth of every individual child and seeks to assist the children of the world by helping build families through adoption and providing humanitarian aide to children in need. It is this agency's firm belief that every child has a right to grow up in a family where he or she is loved, nurtured, protected and appreciated for his or her unique individuality. 

In keeping with this belief, this agency is committed to working with birthmothers here in the United States who are considering an adoption plan for their child(ren) by providing non-directive and educational counseling, as well as services to complete their adoption plans.

In addition, Kentucky Adoption Services is committed to assisting children overseas in finding permanent families. We provide services to families worldwide to assist them in their adoption efforts. Families in the state of Kentucky who utilize Kentucky Adoption Services for their local services are provided thorough preparation for adoptive parenting. Kentucky Adoption Services also makes a concerted effort to recruit new adoptive families. 

The purpose of this agency is to assist children by preparing adoptive families, recruiting adoptive families and assisting with the completion of adoptions worldwide, as well to provide humanitarian aid to institutionalized children and to children at risk of becoming institutionalized. This agency helps prospective adoptive parents research their many options regarding adoption and presents professional training to prepare adoptive families for the myriad of issues involved with making the decision of whether to parent their child or pursue an adoption plan. KAS also supports numerous aid endeavors in several developing countries.

Kentucky Adoption Services, Inc. provides Child Placement Services, Homestudies, Independent Home Investigations, Counseling for Birth Families, counseling for Adoptive Families, Foster Care for infants and toddlers awaiting an adoptive placement and Domestic Adoptive Placement.
