General Program Requirements for Adopting from Burkina Faso
To be eligible for adoption from Burkina Faso, adoptive parents must be at least 23 years old. Couples adopting from Burkina must be married for at least 5 years. At this time, single applicants may not adopt from Burkina Faso. According to the Burkinabe government, couples without biological children will be given priority; however couples with biological children are welcome to adopt as well. Prospective parents should be in good health and prepared to submit physician and psychological reports. |
